This review is from: Surround Air XJ-350 Electric Fabric Shaver (Health and Beauty) I purchased this 'heavy duty' shaver to help get rid of some of the pilling on my couch. The thing just STOPS. I thought perhaps the pills on the couch might be too much for any shaver, so I tried it one a sweater. A little better - started to get rid of the pills - then it STOPPED AGAIN. I don't know if this thing is defective, but I doubt it - it's most likely just poorly made to begin with. Sigh. My search for a decent shaver continues. It's fine for less delicate knits and polarfleece, though. It does have a very wide head for shaving, and having an AC cord means it doesn't lose power. It works very efficiently, and considering how many options are out there, this one was the best value I could find. Just be careful on certain fabrics. I ripped a whole in one of my light sweaters.
