4.0 out of 5 stars Works well!, March 20, 2009

This actually works pretty well and can be faster than an electric fabric shaver. However, it is too rough for some fabrics and some fuzzy sweaters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweaterstone is better but this is great for travel, March 27, 2011

I own this (which I keep in my overnight kit and use for travel) as well as the sweaterstone, which I prefer and use at home. The D-Fuzz-It works just fine but it takes a while and you have to be sort of ginger with the fabric---but, it's small and sturdy and travels easily. I find it easiest to use by laying the sweater out on a bed. The sweaterstone is larger (and would probably be pulverized in a suitcase) but it's a LOT (a whole lot!) faster to use, and it gives a much nicer, fluffier appearance to sweaters. I usually use the sweaterstone with the sweater ON me, which makes it much easier to get under the arms. The only small drawback to sweaterstone is you should use it outdoors or over a sink because it does make a bit of a mess.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works well but there's one problem, December 30, 2010

I purchased this D-Fuzz-It from a store a while back. It worked very well to remove the fuzz from garments but I found one major problem with it. I could not successfully remove the smaller fuzz pieces from the "de-fuzzing blade." I tried tweezers, my fingers, and sticky tape but had no luck. I eventually threw it out.

The "de-fuzzing edge" works like velcro to pick up fabric fuzz and lint and does this very well on the first few passes. However, as the blade gets "all fuzzed up" it becomes less effective with each pass sort of like velcro fails to hold if there's hair or lint stuck in the velcro.

I'm actually surprised that no one mentioned this issue. Perhaps their fuzz-balls were large and removable, perhaps they didn't use this long enough to experience this problem, or perhaps mine was just a defective tool. Instead I purchased the... Read more
