I too bought it from Bed Bath & Beyond, however despite of the price, it worked like a dream! I had a long cardigan that was plagued with pills, large lumpy ones to the tiniest fluffs, and this fabric shaver picked out every one of them! To the point where my cardigan does look as good as new. I wish I had taken before and after pics to prove it, but this shaver is a life saver! I agree, the instructions are meager when it comes to battery installment and cleaning, but once you've got that figured out, everything else is easy. The coat looks almost new so maybe the answer is to not use it on delicate fabrics. I just left the coat on the hanger and put my hand behind the section I was working on. I used this on my 9 year old couch that had gotten extremely pilly, especially from all the fleece blankets my infant son cuddles with. One other reviewer commented on lack of battery direction, which if you look on the outside of where the batteries go you can see a "+" and "-" pretty clearly. My husband was able to de-pill the entire surface of the couch in about 6 minutes. Our couch looks brand new! We emptied the fuzz compartment 3 times. Hopefully the blades stay sharp for future uses. Even with this one use I think it has paid for itself. I was beginning to think of getting a new couch because ours had looked so crappy. Anyway, it is only $10. I can spend that at lunch easily. I recommend this item! |
